I’m a woman of 58 years old and for me, age is just a number. I’m young in my soul, in my body, and in my mind! I have 32 years of experience in the fashion business. I had my own business for over 11 years, I worked in big companies for over 20 years. I have many skills, I am a fashion designer, I design on the computer, I use CorelDraw and Adobe Illustrator, I am a photographer, I have a website and a fashion blog that I built by myself, I am an artist, I am a fashion designer, fashion stylist for fashion campaigns, I know how to choose the right fabric for each type of clothing, I created countless mood boards for a lot of fashion collections that I developed throughout my career, I corrected and approved innumerable prototypes of clothes designed by me and I did the companies where I worked to earn a lot of money. I believe I can be a great employee especially because my dependability, domain expertise, my wealth of knowledge and skills, and a mature, well-informed outlook can be incredibly useful. But I feel that younger managers can feel intimidated by older workers. Of course, they are millennials. they are 30 years old and it is not possible to have the same experience as a 50-year-old. when I comment that fashion collection it was inspired on 80’s and I say I used this clothes they don’t know what I’m talking about! I am a Brazilian and I m living in the USA for 4 years. I know it is difficult to find a job in another country but I will keep trying because I believe in my potential and I’m not done yet. I want to continue to learn and grow and move up. I’m not at the top of the hill yet, I’m still climbing!
